Move-out reversal

11 steps left. Checked boxes stay on this device.

1. 1Photograph every wall in daylight before you remove anything.
2. 2If you never closet-tested strips, remove one hidden strip the slow way first.
3. 3Take frames down. Pull each strip tab straight down, parallel to the wall, until it releases.
4. 4Peel wallpaper or backsplash by warming a corner and folding it back on itself. Stop if paint lifts.
5. 5Remove tension rods and trim clamps. Wipe cup marks. Do not scrub a shiny patch into flat paint.
6. 6Take down the shower rod and caddy. Check that caulk you did not replace is still theirs.
7. 7Put the original faucet aerator back. Empty any drip tray. Unplug portable appliances.
8. 8Swap original bulbs back in from the labeled bag.
9. 9Fill holes only if the lease told you to, in the sheen they named. No midnight spackle art.
10. 10Photograph the same walls again and email the set to yourself.
11. 11Write down anything that did not come clean. Disclose it. Do not hide it with a poster.
